09.14.08 | Release of J.D. Souther's "If The World Was You" October 14th marks the release of legendary songwriter J.D. Souther's new recording "If The World Was You," which I am thrilled to be a part of. This record was recorded live in George Massenburg's mix room at Blackbird studios in Nashville. It features Chris Walters on piano, Jeff Coffin on saxophone, Rod Mcgaha on trumpet, Bela Fleck on banjo, Dan Immel and Jim Mayer on bass, and myself on drums. 04.16.08 | Jim will be performing at the UNC/Greeley Jazz Festival Jim will be performing sets with pianinst Art Lande and The Festival All-stars. He will also play After Hours sets with Clay Jenkins, Don Aliquo, Dana Landry, and Erik Applegate.
03.20.08 | Pat Coil Sextet's new CD "Bird House" is released. This CD features Pat Coil on piano, Craig Nelson on bass, George Tidwell on trumpet, Mark Douthit on saxophone, Barry Green on trombone and Jim White on drums.
11.04.07 | Jim will be performing with Alison Krauss and Union Station on the CMA awards. Jim will be appearing on the CMA award show with Alison Krauss and Union Station. Thw show will be televised on ABC, Wednesday, November 7th at 8:00 PM E.S.T.
08.28.07 | Jim is now a Yamaha performing artist. Jim is now a proud endorser of Yamaha drums. The first drum set he ever purchased was a Yamaha 900 series set and he performed on that set for many years, including tours with Maynard Ferguson. Jim is happy to be a Yamaha performing artist!
06.14.07 | Jim is touring this summer with Alison Krauss and Union Station Jim will be performing with Grammy award winning group Alison Krauss and Union Station during their summer tour of the United States. The band includes Alison, Dan Tyminski, Ron Block, Barry Bales, Steve Cox and Jerry Douglas. Please check out the tour dates in the itinerary section of this website.
